The UKTI Team in Berlin is now looking for a Senior Campaign and Finance Manager.

Main purpose of job:

To lead on performance management of campaigns for the UKTI network in Germany and to manage the network’s £2 million budget. The successful candidate will report to Director UKTI Germany and be part of UKTI’s Senior Management Team. He/She must have strong business and financial planning skills as well as staff management experience.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • To monitor and measure the performance of Germany network priority sector campaigns against challenging business targets and objectives;
  • To provide regular campaign progress reports to Director UKTI Germany and to propose options for improving performance as required;
  • To assist the Director in setting UKTI’s strategic direction, coordinate business forecasting and to represent UKTI with senior external and internal stakeholders;
  • To manage the UKTI Germany network budget of £2 million, including salaries and social contributions, using Oracle Business Information Interactive Dashboards;
  • To provide Director UKTI Germany with monthly financial updates and to report quarterly to the UKTI Overseas Resources Team in London;
  • To oversee UKTI Germany procurement and requisitions; and contracts with suppliers and consultants;
  • To manage an A2(L) Accountant (based in Dusseldorf) and an A2(L) Finance Officer (based in Berlin);
  • To work corporately in support of the Germany network’s wider objectives.
  • Fluent in German and English, both oral and written;
  • Excellent performance management and financial planning skills;
  • At least two years of budget management experience;
  • Good knowledge of the German and UK business environment;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Very good IT (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word) and numeracy skills;
  • Staff management experience.
  • Knowledge of Oracle information management systems;
  • Project management skills.

This is a full-time position of 2 years with possibility of extension with 6 months of probation period.
