Main purpose of job:

 

The NCA Office Manager will provide support to the National Crime Agency (NCA) Regional Director and Liaison Officers (ILO) At the British Embassy and throughout Washington DC. The NCA team in Washington DC liaise operationally and strategically with US Law Enforcement and other partners on serious and organised crime matters.

The successful post holder will manage the NCA office, act as assistant to the NCA Regional Director and NCA ILOs, ensure the smooth running of the office and assist in intelligence management and research.




Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve?:



 Diary management, facilitating visits and appointments of senior law enforcement personnel in the USA and UK.




Research current and developing US strategies and policy in the field of law enforcement


 


Manage the NCA office and vehicle fleet




Intelligence research and development.


 


Provide administrative support to the ILOs.


 


Collation and presentation of performance management information/data.


 


Compilation of thematic or organisational briefing papers.


  



Strong written and verbal communication skills.




Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.




Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail.




An ability to work within a team environment, as well as unsupervised.




A strong aptitude to multi-task, prioritise and exercise judgement in the face of conflicting priorities and competing demands.




Superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to be professional, courteous and deal directly with UK and U.S. law enforcement officers/agents at all levels.




Ability to remain discrete and handle sensitive information.




The ability to achieve UK Government SC vetting status


A background in policing or in handling intelligence.
