Corporate Services Support

Main purpose of job:

Driving HMA, DHM, Embassy Staff and visitors, as well as maintaining official vehicles. To assist the DHM in maintaining security at the Office and Residence. Routine oversight and briefing of the local guard force, liaison with diplomatic police, liaison with security officers in other missions. Alerting DHM and HMA to security threats.


Roles and responsibilities

Driver duties 70%

  • Driving HMA, DHM, Embassy Staff and Visitors.
  • Distribution of Embassy Letters and Correspondence.
  • Acting as Transport Officer for the Embassy, by organising and assigning transport programmes based on the needs of staff.
  • Ensuring the maintenance and repair of official vehicles.
  • Ordering, follow-up and close monitoring of the fuel and fuel consumption sheet and ensuring the fuel consumption sheet is completed.
  • Other tasks as directed by the Corporate Services Manager.

 

Security Manager 20%

  • Assisting and advising the DHM on all Embassy and Residence security issues.
  • Supervising Embassy Security team and reporting any misconduct to the CSM.
  • Briefing Embassy Security team, advising on and ensuring implementation of best practice.
  • Relaying security information, alerts and updates to HMA and DHM.

 

General Office Duties 10%

  • Assisting office staff with some small administrative duties, such as photocopying as required.
