Main purpose of job:

To keep clean and tidy the Embassy compound by collecting rubbish from all on-compound properties and offices, to make sure all the trash are disposed as per the standard and To manage the recycling area by following the health and saftey guidance.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Keep areas clean & tidy around TWG office, workshops, stores, transport & main gate.
  • Tidy areas around the perimeter fence once a week.
  • Collect all the rubbish from the compound road side bins.
  • Collect all the rubbish from compound residential properties and offices.
  • Sort out all rubbish according to the nature of waste & select materials for recycling – contribute to the greening committee.
  • Clean ash from the incinerator, make sure the incinerator is running properly and report if there is any fault or issues in accordance with H&S.
  • Clean and tidy the upper and lower pump house buildings.
  • Assist with the erection and removal of tents and function equipment.
  • Helping with general labour work when there is a shortage of manpower.
  • Sorting out the plants and shrubs in and around the TWG office.

  • Experience in handling waste for 1 year.
  • Knowledge on Health and safety procedure.
  • Completion of Grade 12 (applicant must have taken the national exam)

Language requirements: 

Language: Amharic

Level of language required: Fluent 

  • Class 2 Driving license
