Main purpose of job:

The Technical Works Group (TWG) - Plumber Should be capable of carrying out plumbing works, installation,new and repairs, tests and inspections on existing water systems including completion of testing and inspection sheets.

Roles and responsibilities :

  • He/she should be able to carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and day to day maintenance (DDM) in all one HMG estates ( offices and residential buildings) as required.
  • He/she should be able to work towards agreed schedules and time scales and complaint with FCDO regulations.
  • He/she should be able to communicate to the estate officer and/or Estates Manager of any problems encountered on site.
  • He/she should be familiar with the required health and safety standards governing the plumbing role.
  • At least 3 years experience in a Government or Parastatal or Diplomatic mission or an International organisation as a plumber or water and Sanitization engineer with technical experience.

  • Able to prioritise a heavy work load and works well under pressure

  • Excellent organisational skills.

  • An open and approachable manner.

  • Should be Proactive

  • Customer focus

  • A very good knowledge of plumbing materials and Suppliers
  • Quality and consistent service with technical expertise

Learning and development opportunities (and any specific training courses to be completed):
