View Vacancy - Bilingual Administrative Officer Centre for Information and Coordination (CCIC) (FRA22.483)
Border Force is a Law Enforcement arm of the Home Office with primary responsibility for UK Border Security, including counter terrorism, immigration and customs matters. We are responsible for managing the UK border control by enforcing immigration and customs regulations and working with the wider Home Office on organised crime, modern slavery and trafficking. The UK and France have been working closely to secure the border at the juxtaposed ports and the Sandhurst treaty, signed in January 2018 by Theresa May and Emanuel Macron, set out plans for the construction of the new Joint Centre for Information and Coordination (CCIC) along with its sphere of competence.
The implementation and smooth running of the CCIC is of specific interest to the Immigration Minister and the Regional Director reports weekly to him on the latest situation across Northern France. The key to the success of the centre is the ability to form strong, effective relationships with French partners and to provide a link to UK law enforcement and intelligence partners. This is essential to reinforce the real-time reactions and exchanges needed to dismantle organised crime networks involved in cross border criminality.

- Fluent English and French, both written and spoken (C2 European Framework*)
- Excellent customer facing orientation, organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong people skills and diplomacy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills – ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, word, Excel and Sharepoint applications.

This is a full-time and permanent position of 35 hours per week.
This role requires daily liaison with French colleagues and collaborating with/ supporting the Borer Force team in the CCIC. Consequently, the post is currently not open to hybrid working (working from home).
All appointments are subject to professional background check satisfactory security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to provide a copy of his/her passport or national identity card for all nationalities held, an up-to-date criminal record (casier judiciaire) for recent countries of residence (which can be obtained online at https://www.cjn.justice.gouv.fr/cjn/b3/eje20 ), two written proofs of address (utility invoices and/or bank statements) and two references.
