The British Embassy Vilnius is a professional, friendly and inclusive team, which supports the development and wellbeing of all its staff members, and we are looking to recruit a Digital Media Manager.

The jobholder will lead the digital team of the Embassy Russian-language Media Hub in Vilnius. They will oversee monitoring of Russian-language media (traditional and social), ensuring that daily updates are disseminated to colleagues across the region. They will support the design of social media campaigns, and design and deliver products through the Embassy’s social media pages.

Working to the Head of the Media Hub, the Digital Media manager will:

  • Design, produce and deliver digital products for Embassy Russian-language social media channels
  • Provide advice and insight to the development of social media campaigns, being delivered in Russia and in the UK
  • Oversee the provision of high-quality written daily summaries on the Russian media (both inside and outside the country)
  • Ensure that breaking news is noted and highlighted to relevant team members
  • Provide insight and advice on the media environment, including trends and current messaging
  • Handle online email enquiries from media and the wider public
  • Make a proactive contribution to a positive and healthy workplace

  • Proficiency at a C level in English and Russian according to CEFR Framework*
  • Experience developing and producing social media products
  • Photo and video editing experience
  • Must be very familiar with the Russian news environment
  • Ability to quickly digest and summarise large amounts of data into concise and meaningful reports;
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours.

This is a full-time, permanent contract of 40 gross hours per week (35 hours net).

The start date for the position is as soon as possible, subject to the availability of the candidate and the length of the recruitment process.
