This is a fantastic role leading on the defence and security sectors for the Department for International Trade (DIT) team at the British Embassy in Kyiv. Supporting Ukraine in defending its territorial integrity and independence has been a longstanding priority for the UK government. The devastating conflict that began with Russia’s invasion on 24th February 2022 has seen an increase in Ukraine’s requirements to defend itself and its population; and a corresponding need for even sharper support from the UK and other international partners. The outcome will be central to regional security and stability across the region, and will have wider implications for the international rules based system..

You will also need to be energetic, a self-starter, able to manage yourself and the demands on you, and identify where you should best spend your time to deliver the most value to the role. You will also have strong interpersonal skills, be a clear and confident communicator, and can engage at senior levels across business and Government.
