Main purpose of job:
The British Embassy Seoul is seeking for a dynamic, customer focused, pro-active Corporate Services Officer to support our daily operations within the Corporate Services Team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking their first or second career progression gaining experience in an international organisation. As part of our Corporate Services team, the successful candidate will contribute to a broad range of operational, administrative, and diplomatic support functions, collaborating closely with teams across the Embassy.
This role also involves working with a wide range of external stakeholders, including Korean authorities, suppliers and service providers, to ensure that the Embassy secures high quality and cost-effective services. The successful candidate will have strong communication and delivering at paces skills engaging effectively with colleagues within the Embassy, and our regional and global networks.
The FCDO operates an agile approach to delivery. Staff members’ roles and responsibilities may evolve in response to changing contexts and organisational needs, and they may be required to undertake as reasonably required.
Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve?
Transport Coordination (40%)
UK-Based Staff Arrival & Departure Support (35%)
Coordinate administrative arrangements and supports for arriving and departing UK-Based Staff including:
Procurement and Financial Administration (15%)
Team and Wider Team Contribution (5%)
Line Management (5%)
Resources managed (staff and expenditure):
Line Management of driver x 1, Imprest Fund of KRW 1.5 million
Language requirements: English and Korean (both professional level)
Level of language required: Proficient
This role is for a 12-month fixed term contract with possibility of extension

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:15 (17:00 on Fridays). However, occasional evening and weekend working may be required, for which time off in lieu is given.
