The British Government have funded a Criminal Justice Advisor (CJA) to work within France to develop collaboration in organised immigration crime with a view to opening investigation, dismantling networks, prosecuting offenders and pursuing the proceeds of crime. That post is based in Paris but involves frequent travel across France including Boulogne, Calais, Dunkirk, Lille, Dieppe, Bordeaux, Rennes and further afield depending on cases of interest.
The position advertised, based in the British Embassy in Paris is to provide high level support through the undertaking of a range of tasks for the CJA, to support engagement with stakeholders in the criminal justice system and to support the successful and timely collaboration often in real time in order to support UK/FR operations. The role will involve legal research and therefore legal or law enforcement experience is essential. There will be a degree of autonomy in the role with an expectation to review, analyse and progress work streams, identify improvements to process and take forward implementation on behalf of CJA.
